Women Empowerment

UNDP coordinates global and national efforts to integrate gender equality and women’s empowerment into poverty reduction, democratic governance, crisis prevention and recovery, and environment and sustainable development. Raays Foundation works to ensure that women get access to basic education, earn living to supplement family income and have a real voice in the community affairs. Consistent with UN mandate Raays Foundation works towards ensuring women participate equally with men in public dialogue and decision-making and influence the decisions that will determine the future of Horn of Africa.

Raays Foundation also provides services that educate and empower women as a method of improving social development. Raays Foundation believes when women are empowered, the whole community reaps the benefits. We offer courses and exercises that help improve the literacy rate, and promote economic independence. In all the three thematic areas, Raays Foundation emphasizes to engage in effective coordination and partnership building approach with all its donors, other humanitarian organization and target communities to ensure its intervention are systematically planned, designed and effectively and efficiently executed.

Raays Foundation ensures that there is effective community participation and involvements as a way to enhance sustainability and community ownership of all programming.
